There's nothing better than browsing the shelves of a bookshop and finding something that you want to dive into. Even the smell of a book brings joy.
We're Ipswich's only independent bookshop, but selling books is just a part of what we do:
-
we encourage conversation
-
we recommend books
-
we order books
-
we run book clubs
-
we put on book events
-
we get involved in our Ipswich community
-
we raise money for charity
-
we welcome visitors
-
we invite authors
-
we promote reading
-
we work with schools and organisations

fathers' day - in conversation
In this special event for Father's Day, local writers Ashley Hickson-Lovence and James McDermott will be in conversation about how writing helped them celebrate, memorialise and grieve their fathers in their respective poetry collections 'Why I Am Not A Bus Driver' (Bad Betty Press) and 'Father Myself' (Nine Arches Press). The event will be followed by an audience Q&A and a book signing.
